붓길은 이어지고, 기록은 영원합니다.

민족사학 고려대학교 '서예문화 최고위과정' 동문들이 한마음으로 마련한 뜻깊은 전시회를 진심으로 축하합니다.

본 과정은 2004년 개설된 이래 전통서화의 정신을 현대적으로 계승하고 문화예술계의 글로벌 리더를 배출하며, K-문화의 물결 속에서 우리 전통문화의 세계화를 앞장서 이끌어 왔습니다. 지금 이 순간에도 묵향 동문들은 문사철(文史哲)로 지성(知性)을 수련하고 시서화(詩書畫)로 감성(感性)을 연마하며, 시대의 흐름을 읽고 AI 시대의 새로운 예술적 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다. 인연의 끈은 질기고, 예술을 향한 열정은 해를 거듭할수록 더욱 깊어지고 있습니다. 해를 거듭하며 전시회가 이어진다는 소식은 고려대의 필묵정신(筆墨精神)이 여전히 도도히 살아 있음을 증명하는 반가운 증거입니다.

高大情緣意氣昂 (고대정연의기앙) 고대에서 맺은 인연으로 의기는 높기만 하여라

文哲書畫融一氣 (문철서화융일기) 문학·철학과 서예·회화가 한 기운으로 녹아드니

千秋韻致耀新光 (천추운치요신광) 영원한 전통의 운치 위에 새로운 빛을 밝히리라

돌이켜보면 전통 서예와 문인화가 위기를 맞은 까닭은 시대의 변화 탓만은 아닙니다. 시가 없는 글씨, 글씨가 없는 그림, 인문정신이 빠진 기교만으로는 오늘의 삶을 온전히 담아낼 수 없습니다. 이제 서예문인화는 인문학(人文學)을 바탕으로 전통의 뿌리 위에서 새로운 조형 어법을 꾸준히 펼쳐 나가야 합니다.

무엇보다 서화는 사람이 먼저입니다. 한 점의 작품에는 작가가 살아온 시간과 생각, 수양과 품격이 고스란히 스며듭니다. 붓끝의 기교보다 마음의 깊이가 중요하며, 화려한 형식보다 진실한 정신이 오래 남습니다. 그렇기에 서화의 길은 작품을 창작하는 일인 동시에 자신을 닦고 세상을 이해하는 과정이라 할 수 있습니다.

이번 전시는 고려대학교에서 맺은 배움과 우정의 결실이자, 과정이 남긴 역사와 정신을 작품으로 다시 세우는 뜻깊은 자리입니다. 서로 격려하고 이끌며 전통을 오늘의 미감으로 되살리는 창조적인 서화의 장이 되기를 바랍니다. 나아가 한국 서예문인화의 품격을 안팎으로 알리고, 붓길의 새로운 가능성과 희망을 제시하는 전시가 되기를 기대합니다.

점(點)은 위치요, 획(劃)은 방향입니다. 언제나 지금, 여기에서 무엇을 할 것인가를 생각하고 새로운 방향을 찾아 미래를 열어가길 바랍니다. 변함없는 열정과 예술혼에 깊은 경의를 표하며, 이번 전시를 위해 특별히 노고가 많으신 현석(賢石) 김종태(金鍾泰) 회장님을 비롯한 참여 작가 여러분의 건승(健勝)과 건필(健筆)을 진심으로 축원합니다.

그 붓길이 아름다운 시대의 기록으로 오래도록 이어지기를 바랍니다.

Words of Encouragement

The path of the brush continues, and its record endures forever.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations on this meaningful exhibition, brought to fruition through the united efforts of the alumni of Korea University’s Global Advanced Program in Calligraphy and Literati Painting.

Since its establishment in 2004, the program has carried the spirit of traditional calligraphy and painting into the modern age, fostered global leaders in culture and the arts, and taken a leading role in bringing Korea’s traditional culture to the world amid the rising tide of K-culture. Even at this very moment, the Mukhyang alumni cultivate their intellect through literature, history, and philosophy, refine their sensibilities through poetry, calligraphy, and painting, discern the currents of the times, and explore new artistic possibilities in the age of AI. The bonds formed through learning remain strong, and the passion for art deepens with each passing year. The welcome news that this exhibition continues year after year is clear testimony that Korea University’s spirit of brush and ink remains vibrantly alive and flows on with undiminished strength.

Looking back, the crisis facing traditional calligraphy and literati painting cannot be attributed solely to changing times. Calligraphy without poetry, painting without calligraphy, and technique devoid of the humanistic spirit cannot fully embody the life we live today. Calligraphy and literati painting must now remain firmly rooted in the humanities and in tradition, while steadily developing new forms of artistic expression.

Above all, in calligraphy and painting, the person comes first. Every work bears the imprint of the artist’s life, thought, self-cultivation, and dignity. Depth of heart matters more than technical skill at the tip of the brush, and a sincere spirit endures longer than dazzling form. The path of calligraphy and painting is therefore not only an act of artistic creation, but also a journey of self-cultivation and understanding the world.

This exhibition is the fruit of the learning and friendship nurtured at Korea University, as well as a meaningful occasion to reaffirm through art the history and spirit bequeathed by the program. I hope it will become a creative forum for calligraphy and painting, where artists encourage and inspire one another while reviving tradition through the aesthetics of the present. Furthermore, I trust that it will enhance awareness of the distinction of Korean calligraphy and literati painting at home and abroad, while opening new possibilities and offering fresh hope for the path of the brush.

A dot marks a position; a stroke points in a direction. I hope you will always reflect on what must be done here and now, discover new directions, and open the way toward the future. With profound respect for your unwavering passion and artistic spirit, I sincerely wish President Kim Jong-tae, whose art name is Hyeonseok, and all participating artists—each of whom has devoted tremendous effort to this exhibition—continued success, good health, and enduring creative vitality.

May this path of the brush continue for generations as a beautiful record of our time.

勉励辞

笔路绵延，记录永恒。

谨向由民族私学高丽大学“书法文人画全球最高层课程”校友同心协力筹办的这一意义深远的展览，致以最诚挚的祝贺。

本课程自2004年开设以来，以现代精神继承传统书画之精髓，培养了众多文化艺术界的全球领军人才，并乘着K文化蓬勃发展的浪潮，为推动韩国传统文化走向世界发挥了引领作用。时至今日，墨香校友们依然以文、史、哲陶冶知性，以诗、书、画涵养感性，洞察时代潮流，积极探索人工智能时代崭新的艺术可能。因学习而结下的情缘坚韧绵长，对艺术的热忱也随着岁月的推移愈加深厚。欣闻展览年复一年持续举办，这无疑是令人欣慰的明证：高丽大学的笔墨精神至今依然生生不息，浩荡长流。

回顾以往，传统书法与文人画之所以面临危机，并不只是时代变迁所致。没有诗意的书法、没有书法精神的绘画，以及缺失人文精神的纯粹技巧，都无法完整地表现当代人的生活。如今，书法文人画应当以人文学为根基，立足传统深厚的土壤，不断开拓崭新的造型语言与艺术表现方式。

尤为重要的是，书画之道，首重其人。一件作品之中，无不渗透着艺术家走过的岁月、积淀的思想，以及自身的修养与品格。比起笔端的技巧，心灵的深度更为重要；比起华丽的形式，真挚的精神更能历久弥新。因此，书画之路既是创作艺术作品的过程，也是修养自身、理解世界的历程。

本次展览既是各位在高丽大学结下的学习情谊与深厚友谊之硕果，也是通过艺术作品重新树立本课程所留下的历史与精神的一次盛会。衷心期待各位相互勉励、彼此引领，以当代审美重新激活传统，使本次展览成为一个富有创造力的书画艺术平台。更期待本次展览能够向国内外展现韩国书法文人画的品格与魅力，为笔墨艺术开拓新的可能，带来新的希望。

点，是位置；画，是方向。愿诸位始终立足当下，思考此时此地应当做些什么，不断寻找新的方向，开创美好的未来。谨向各位始终不渝的热忱与艺术精神致以崇高的敬意，并衷心祝愿为本次展览付出诸多心血的贤石金钟泰会长及全体参展艺术家身体健康、事业顺遂、笔健墨丰。
