이에 예서 대구를 써서 보낸다.
그 내용은 다음과 같다.

陸游(육유) 선생의 시
‘冬夜讀書忽聞雞唱(동야독서홀문계창 - 겨울밤에 독서를 하다가 문득 닭울음소리를 들음)’의 頷聯(함련) 대구이다.
육유는 중국 南宋(남송)의 대표적 시인으로 약 50년간에 1만 수(首)에 달하는 시를 남겨 중국 詩史上(시사 상) 최다작의 시인으로 꼽힌다. 강렬한 서정을 부흥시킨 점이 최대의 특색이라 할 수 있다.
天涯懷友月千里(천애회우월천리) 먼 곳에서 친구를 생각하니 달은 천리 밖에 있고
燈下讀書鷄一鳴(등하독서계일명) 등불 아래에서 독서하노라니 닭이 한번 우는구나.
